SOULFUL OBSESSION emerges as the most aggressive cut on the five-song product. Kosuke’s drumming leads with an energetic Afro-Cuban percussion pattern as Veno’s bass licks follow and fit right inside the pocket of the groove. Bennett attacks the first verse with a fiery delivery while leaving his piano untouched until the hook arrives. There is no mistaking the message in the chorus: Soulful Obsession is a contagious musical force and a name definitely not meant to be forgotten. Veno blazes through a barrage of rapidly articulated phrases and Lily exhibits her ability to sing vigorously while verbalizing at the same speed as her rhyme-spitting band mates.
