MORE THAN FRIENDS introduces the group’s lighthearted side of artistry and continues to showcase the group’s lyrically narrative nature. Cruising over a Motown feel, the artists express their feelings of love towards their respective particular friends with whom they believe they can advance beyond a modest friendship. The chorus reveals how their relationships started and then evolved the closer they became: “Now we would always just talk like we were just friends / And then we did some things that made us more than friends.”
